37 Weeks...

We are now at 37 weeks which is considered full term for our little peanut. Today we took a trip to the doctor and got to see the baby and Wyatt got to see his little playmate too. But, he was much more interested in his treat cup:) Our official due date is March 30, but the sonographer said that the baby is measuring about 7 1/2 lbs right now. Since babies can gain about 1/2 lb a week that could mean that this little guy is just as big as his big brother was!!! 9 1/2 lbs!!!! So, if you feel so inclined to pray that he makes his appearance sooner rather then later, it would be much appreciated:)

What we've been up to!

It is hard to believe that it is February already!! January definitely flew by. Here are just a few pics of what this little family has been up to this past month:

Auntie Allie came for a quick visit before she left to go to Washington DC.

I've started to do a little freezer cooking to prepare for baby...thinking how wonderful it will be to not have to think about dinners and such while chasing a toddler and holding a newborn:) We've got a lasagna, some cookies, cinnamon rolls, sloppy joes, chicken enchiladas, banana bread, waffles, chicken and chips dip, a beefy enchilada bake...I do believe the hubby and son will be well fed:)

This is Wyatt enjoying his legos and tupperware on the kitchen floor while I baked:)

A little project I made...a carrier canopy. I thought that this would be so much better compared to a blanket thrown over the top that gets blown off or knocked off all the time:)

This kid LOVES books!!! He just can't seem to get enough of them....I am sure if I let him sleep with them he wouldn't even want his blanket:)

On a final note...they are calling for about 12-18" of snow here!!!! We'll see what happens

Thanksgiving!

We spent Thanksgiving in St. Louis this year and had such a great time with family!! It was so nice to not have a schedule to work around and just be able to do whatever whenever:) I even had my first opportunity to make a turkey and it turned out!! Wyatt also got to enjoy some super fun cousin time:)

Koby finding Wy's belly button:)

Lots of babies under one roof!

We even took some time to try and get a family photo

Next year our family photo will have one more member!! We are so excited to meet this little boy! I'm in my nesting mode now and just want to hold him and use all the things we have for him already:)

4 Weeks Already!!!

Wyatt playing peek-a-boo with Daddy:)

Such little hands!!!

I can't believe that our little guy is 4 weeks old already! Has it really been that long ago that he decided to make his grand entrance?!?! At 4 weeks he has already rolled himself from his belly to his back! We think that it was a lucky roll...and he didn't like it once he was on his back:) We are still getting the hang of nursing, he loves his paci, and thank goodness dog barking doesn't scare him!!! What a precious gift we have and are so thankful for!

A few pics of the happenings....

We are officially ready for our little guy to come home!! We have washed, cleaned, organized, reorganized, and probably re-reorganized all his little things in anticipation of his homecoming:):)

My sister and Mom had a shower to help us celebrate the little peanut...

We finally got the carpets cleaned....look at Jonny working so diligently:)

And some of the biggest news is that my sister and her husband have adopted a precious baby boy!! Koby James Haudrich was born on June 25 and they are in Florida now and getting ready to bring him home!! It will be so fun for our little guys to grow up together!!! Hopefully the link below works to be able to see him:)

Just a Checkup

I went in today for a 32 week checkup. There had been some concern about where my placenta was located and so my midwife scheduled another sonogram to check it out. Yay!!! It is in a safe place! The concern was that because it was low-lying there might be need for a C-section.... that is now no longer any concern! Praise the Lord! We also got to see our sweet little peanut again. This time he I don't think he liked being poked and prodded...he was moving and kicking all around:) We even saw him practice opening and closing his little mouth:) He is not about 16 inches long and about 4 pounds. Which leaves us with just a few weeks left before we finally get to meet him! YAY!!! the picture is us at Jonathan's parents house (about 30 weeks in the picture). We were able to go and visit with his family for a few days and his parents had an "Advise Shower" for us. It was so sweet! They invited couples that Jonny had grown up knowing and asked that they come ready to eat and also to share some special words of wisdom with us as new parents. It was such a special time and it was so wonderful for me to meet again some of the people that really love Jonathan and his family.

Showers of Blessings!!

These are the goodies that the grandma of one of my kids in my class has given our little boy!! The dresser, we built a few Saturdays ago for our dresser/changer Mom and Dad Kellerman got us....since we don't really have any other storage it will be great to have so many drawers!
We had our doctor's appointment today and we had another sonogram. We got to see how much bigger he has grown! He is almost a full 2 pounds now! He is measuring about a week ahead...meaning he is a little bigger than the due date estimates him at. I don't think he liked having his picture taken because we watched him kick over and over again at me! She had a hard time getting a picture of his left arm this time too! Only because he wouldn't sit still for that either:) I think we have a very active, rambunctious little boy on our hands already!!
