Thunder and Lighting and Scardy Dogs....

Wow, that is the only way to describe our 2 pooches. We had a pretty heavy storm come through last night and around 4 a.m. our little one, Shooter, decides that he really needs to go to the bathroom. Which means he whines and whines until we can get ourselves out of bed and let him out. It always seems that when it's raining, storming, super wet, or the middle of the night - that is when he just HAS to go out!! So we let him do his business...but about 15 minutes later he's whining again! His big brother, Cochise, is super afraid of storms and thunder. He shakes, pants, crawls under our bed or the couch and sometimes even into the bath tub to feel safe. Needless to say, both pups were agitated and scared last night, neither wanted to be in their own beds, which meant WE were not in our own bed either! We finally just went into the living room around 5 am to watch the news and both dogs crawled under the couch to escape....not sure what they were escaping from though! We figure this is just God's way of preparing us for when our 2 legged baby arrives and he is waking us EVERY night, not just the nights with storms. Hopefully we'll have more patience with him than we did with 2 whiny dogs!!!

Just a Checkup

I went in today for a 32 week checkup. There had been some concern about where my placenta was located and so my midwife scheduled another sonogram to check it out. Yay!!! It is in a safe place! The concern was that because it was low-lying there might be need for a C-section.... that is now no longer any concern! Praise the Lord! We also got to see our sweet little peanut again. This time he I don't think he liked being poked and prodded...he was moving and kicking all around:) We even saw him practice opening and closing his little mouth:) He is not about 16 inches long and about 4 pounds. Which leaves us with just a few weeks left before we finally get to meet him! YAY!!! the picture is us at Jonathan's parents house (about 30 weeks in the picture). We were able to go and visit with his family for a few days and his parents had an "Advise Shower" for us. It was so sweet! They invited couples that Jonny had grown up knowing and asked that they come ready to eat and also to share some special words of wisdom with us as new parents. It was such a special time and it was so wonderful for me to meet again some of the people that really love Jonathan and his family.
