9 Months!!!

Time for the monthly update on our cute little monster:)  I love having all these written down and able to browse through whenever I like.  I love seeing the progression that happens in this cute little person that continues to bring joy and happiness into the Walberg household!

*Tuck is into everything!!!!  Now that Christmas is upon us he has not touched the Christmas tree but has found his cousin's present under the tree on numerous occasions and loves to eat the tissue paper! Sorry Ava and Sadie!:)
*Still nursing and busy trying all kinds of new foods each day.
*Weighing in at 18 lbs 12 oz and standing 28 1/4 inches high!
*He has been "walking" along the furniture for quite a while now...every once in a while there is a topple but he bounces back pretty fast
*He is still a little screamer...that is how he really makes his will known at times:)
*On a consistent basis this momma is getting a full night's sleep. He usually goes down around 9 pm to get up again between 7 and 8 am.  But, like last night...a hiccup sometimes occurs:)
*He absolutely loves his carseat...it usually knocks him out and he sleeps so well! A couple of times Daddy even took him out in the middle of the night for a little trip to get the kid to go back to sleep!!!
*He loves to stand at our kiddy gate or in his crib and just shake it!  "LET ME OUT OF HERE!"
*The giggles that come so easily from this child absolutely melt my heart!
* He is a fast little crawler...especially when going for something he shouldn't!  if he sees you coming it makes him crawl all the faster and giggle too knowing that you are going to get him:)
*He is so busy just following Wyatt around and wreaking havoc in all that Wy is trying to play with!  He definitely loves his big bro:)

Anger Management

Is he angry or just really constipated???

A peek into our traditions:)

The Christmas season is in full swing at the Walberg house.  I am loving having little ones around that keep us fresh in our remembrance of why we are celebrating Christmas in the first place!
One thing that we did for the first time but I am hoping will become a tradition is a picnic in our living room roasting hot dogs in our fire place!!
Wyatt and Mommy had fun rolling out and cutting sugar cookies for a party.
Messy...just the way we like it:)

This is our first year to also do the Jesse Tree.  It is a little like an advent calendar in that we are counting down the days to Christmas. However, the Jesse Tree is more deliberate in teaching about Jesus Christ and each of the ornaments that are placed on the tree signify significant people in the lineage of Christ. It begins with the creation of the world and ends with the birth of Christ.  Romans 15: 12 says, "There shall come the root of Jesse, and He who arises to rule over the Gentiles, in Him shall the Gentiles hope." Jesse was David's father and from the line of David, Jesus came. It is a great tool for us to use year after year to tie the whole Bible into the culmination of Jesus coming to earth and remembering His completed work on the cross for us!
The little ones and I went to a friend's house to having some play fun and to ice our sugar cookies....this gingerbread man never made it off the table...it slowly worked its way into a little belly:)
Wy loved all the sprinkles and decorations that he got to play with:)
A post about our traditions would not be complete without a "Christmas Sweaters" picture...aaahhh, the joys of motherhood and putting your kids in whatever you want then making them pose!! They will one day love these photos as much as I do right?!

Trees, Birthday Pancakes, and Fire

Sometimes it can be so overpowering to just look at these sweet boys that the Lord has blessed me with!  Reality can hit at such interesting times. Like today we went out to eat after church and I got to sit next to my sweet Wyatt.  To just look at the gift of my son and see a little person that is growing more and more each day just brought sweet tears to my eyes.  God has fulfilled my dreams from girlhood to be a wife and mommy and I cannot thank Him enough for the sweetness of my life.  There is no greater joy to me than to have my whole family around me and just "be." We have our rough patches and struggles but with the goodness and grace of God we always come away strengthened in our relationship not only with each other but with Him. Thank you Lord for your undeserved gifts!!
I think we have 2 little beggers hoping for a handout from Wyatt or at least some yumminess dropped:)

This year we have a fake tree...to some that just doesn't cut it. To me...LOVE!! No needles, sap, watering, and we can put it up right after Thanksgiving and leave it up til I get around to taking it down!
This little man has been great at not touching our tree!  Surprise though he did find the tissue paper in a gift bag under the tree irresistible:)
A tower of blue cake batter pancakes to celebrate Jonathan's 30th birthday!!!
Wyatt enjoying the heat from our first fire of the year.  It was so nice to snuggle up next to it and get warm on such a chilly day!
Tucker helping Daddy to keep the fire roaring!

A Toledo Thanksgiving

We took ourselves to Toledo this year to celebrate some yummy turkey, sweet family time, and relaxation.  For Thanksgiving Day we headed north into Michigan to celebrate with  Grandma Walberg, Uncle Tim, Aunt Sue, and Caleb.  Grandma got to meet Tucker for the first time!
Uncle Tim took us out to try our hands at shooting clay pigeons...I didn't hit even one, but Jonny showed me up by hitting more than he missed:)
 Aww, father and son....
Enjoying some time of singing our thanks to God accompanied by Kristin on the piano

Tucker found the joy of the stairs for the first time and did pretty good!
Auntie KK taught us all how to slackline and even Wyatt was able to pick it up pretty quick!
Of course Grandma wasn't going to be left out of the party...look at that fancy footwork!
We enjoyed a fun trip down to an apple orchard...Wy and Auntie KK REALLY enjoying the cider and donuts:)
 Wyatt loving on Aunt Sue!
My little man even enjoyed a little bit of some apple fritter
Us with our yummy treat from Grandma!
 Heading out to the orchard!
Wyatt finally knows where apples really come from...and its not a bin at Kroger:)
 Helping Daddy celebrate 30 years!!!!!!!!!
 Grandma and Tuck!
