9 Months!!!

Time for the monthly update on our cute little monster:)  I love having all these written down and able to browse through whenever I like.  I love seeing the progression that happens in this cute little person that continues to bring joy and happiness into the Walberg household!

*Tuck is into everything!!!!  Now that Christmas is upon us he has not touched the Christmas tree but has found his cousin's present under the tree on numerous occasions and loves to eat the tissue paper! Sorry Ava and Sadie!:)
*Still nursing and busy trying all kinds of new foods each day.
*Weighing in at 18 lbs 12 oz and standing 28 1/4 inches high!
*He has been "walking" along the furniture for quite a while now...every once in a while there is a topple but he bounces back pretty fast
*He is still a little screamer...that is how he really makes his will known at times:)
*On a consistent basis this momma is getting a full night's sleep. He usually goes down around 9 pm to get up again between 7 and 8 am.  But, like last night...a hiccup sometimes occurs:)
*He absolutely loves his carseat...it usually knocks him out and he sleeps so well! A couple of times Daddy even took him out in the middle of the night for a little trip to get the kid to go back to sleep!!!
*He loves to stand at our kiddy gate or in his crib and just shake it!  "LET ME OUT OF HERE!"
*The giggles that come so easily from this child absolutely melt my heart!
* He is a fast little crawler...especially when going for something he shouldn't!  if he sees you coming it makes him crawl all the faster and giggle too knowing that you are going to get him:)
*He is so busy just following Wyatt around and wreaking havoc in all that Wy is trying to play with!  He definitely loves his big bro:)

Anger Management

Is he angry or just really constipated???

A peek into our traditions:)

The Christmas season is in full swing at the Walberg house.  I am loving having little ones around that keep us fresh in our remembrance of why we are celebrating Christmas in the first place!
One thing that we did for the first time but I am hoping will become a tradition is a picnic in our living room roasting hot dogs in our fire place!!
Wyatt and Mommy had fun rolling out and cutting sugar cookies for a party.
Messy...just the way we like it:)

This is our first year to also do the Jesse Tree.  It is a little like an advent calendar in that we are counting down the days to Christmas. However, the Jesse Tree is more deliberate in teaching about Jesus Christ and each of the ornaments that are placed on the tree signify significant people in the lineage of Christ. It begins with the creation of the world and ends with the birth of Christ.  Romans 15: 12 says, "There shall come the root of Jesse, and He who arises to rule over the Gentiles, in Him shall the Gentiles hope." Jesse was David's father and from the line of David, Jesus came. It is a great tool for us to use year after year to tie the whole Bible into the culmination of Jesus coming to earth and remembering His completed work on the cross for us!
The little ones and I went to a friend's house to having some play fun and to ice our sugar cookies....this gingerbread man never made it off the table...it slowly worked its way into a little belly:)
Wy loved all the sprinkles and decorations that he got to play with:)
A post about our traditions would not be complete without a "Christmas Sweaters" picture...aaahhh, the joys of motherhood and putting your kids in whatever you want then making them pose!! They will one day love these photos as much as I do right?!

Trees, Birthday Pancakes, and Fire

Sometimes it can be so overpowering to just look at these sweet boys that the Lord has blessed me with!  Reality can hit at such interesting times. Like today we went out to eat after church and I got to sit next to my sweet Wyatt.  To just look at the gift of my son and see a little person that is growing more and more each day just brought sweet tears to my eyes.  God has fulfilled my dreams from girlhood to be a wife and mommy and I cannot thank Him enough for the sweetness of my life.  There is no greater joy to me than to have my whole family around me and just "be." We have our rough patches and struggles but with the goodness and grace of God we always come away strengthened in our relationship not only with each other but with Him. Thank you Lord for your undeserved gifts!!
I think we have 2 little beggers hoping for a handout from Wyatt or at least some yumminess dropped:)

This year we have a fake tree...to some that just doesn't cut it. To me...LOVE!! No needles, sap, watering, and we can put it up right after Thanksgiving and leave it up til I get around to taking it down!
This little man has been great at not touching our tree!  Surprise though he did find the tissue paper in a gift bag under the tree irresistible:)
A tower of blue cake batter pancakes to celebrate Jonathan's 30th birthday!!!
Wyatt enjoying the heat from our first fire of the year.  It was so nice to snuggle up next to it and get warm on such a chilly day!
Tucker helping Daddy to keep the fire roaring!

A Toledo Thanksgiving

We took ourselves to Toledo this year to celebrate some yummy turkey, sweet family time, and relaxation.  For Thanksgiving Day we headed north into Michigan to celebrate with  Grandma Walberg, Uncle Tim, Aunt Sue, and Caleb.  Grandma got to meet Tucker for the first time!
Uncle Tim took us out to try our hands at shooting clay pigeons...I didn't hit even one, but Jonny showed me up by hitting more than he missed:)
 Aww, father and son....
Enjoying some time of singing our thanks to God accompanied by Kristin on the piano

Tucker found the joy of the stairs for the first time and did pretty good!
Auntie KK taught us all how to slackline and even Wyatt was able to pick it up pretty quick!
Of course Grandma wasn't going to be left out of the party...look at that fancy footwork!
We enjoyed a fun trip down to an apple orchard...Wy and Auntie KK REALLY enjoying the cider and donuts:)
 Wyatt loving on Aunt Sue!
My little man even enjoyed a little bit of some apple fritter
Us with our yummy treat from Grandma!
 Heading out to the orchard!
Wyatt finally knows where apples really come from...and its not a bin at Kroger:)
 Helping Daddy celebrate 30 years!!!!!!!!!
 Grandma and Tuck!
Yes, Wyatt enjoyed the double layer chocolate birthday cake:)

Getting Ready for Thanksgiving!

We are getting the Walberg household ready for Turkey Day in Ohio!!  We told Wyatt that we are going to see Grandma, Grandpa, and Auntie KK after 2 good sleeps.  Well, yesterday he kept asking to see them and play with all the fun toys that Grandma has.  We said he could after he had 2 good sleeps. So, when we put him in his carseat to go home from the library he "slept" in the carseat:) He so really ready to come to Ohio!!!

The boys are having fun wearing their turkey hats around and getting in the spirit of turkeys and saying "tanks" for all our blessings!!!!

Wyatt is doing his Thanksgiving Turkey Dance around the living room

8 MONTHS

It feels like I just did Tucker's 2 month post yesterday and here I am already on number 8!!  The days just aren't long enough and they move to fast for this mommy!!  I am so loving my job as a mommy of 2 sweet boys.  I love the fact that my boys have each other to play with, fight with, and make sweet memories with each other. As much as I don't want to wish away any sweet days that I have with them I do look forward to when I can watch and hear them play together and talk and be buddies:)

As our little T-Man keeps growing each month it seems harder and harder to catch him!!! His highlights this month:
*He will eat anything!!! Be it food or not:) He is still nursing and he is definitely a fruit lover, veggie tolerator, and puffs fiend!! The puffs are especially nice in quiet places like church or a wedding:)
*This kid is not only crawling and pulling up on everything he has started to "walk" along the furniture!!!
*We are still working on the "sleep through the night" thing:)  For the most part he sleeps from 9pm to about 7am.  However, he likes to keep us on our toes with some 2 am feedings or even 5 am feedings.  But at least he goes back to bed! (As a side story-Daddy took the kiddo on a 2:30 am ride in the car just a couple nights ago because he was NOT having a good sleep!  That was the first and hopefully only time that will happen in our lives:) He fell asleep in the car and Daddy just brought him in in his car seat and let him sleep in that til morning.  I think we all woke up a little happier the next morning:)
*He loves to scream and growl at us:) Not yet saying anything...he does seem to jibber jabber a little bit, but most just screams and growls:)
*He is starting to pay a little more attention to music. When we sing or Wyatt is watching his Veggies Tales sing along video he likes to listen!  It even helps comfort him a little when he is cranky.

*He is affectionately called The Leach!  Any chance he gets he will crawl up to you and crawl up your leg to stand or into your lap.  He has no personal bubble and loves to try and get your face with his mouth or his hands. He just wants to be "in your space" at all times:) It is fun when you are playing but dinner prep is a little harder when there is a "leach" attached to your leg!

God at Work...

Tucker Paul has been sleeping in a pack n play since he has been born.  First it was a little half sized one with a bassinet. Then without the bassinet. Then a large regular sized pack n play.  Well, this little man figured out how to get under the mat in the pack n play and also how to pull the sheets off.  Needless to say we have been searching for a crib...one to borrow, buy, or just take off someone's hands.

God answered our prayers with a nice FREE crib and mattress!! Tucker got to enjoy it for the first time last night...I think he likes it:):):)

A Star in the Making!

The bible study that we go to every Thursday has been prepping them and teaching them and loving on them for weeks.  Today we got to see the little people in action:) I remember having these same 'shows' the last two years and Wyatt was not in them. I didn't even stay because it was just a bunch of kiddos I didn't know trying to sing or crying or not standing up right.  Oh, how I have changed:) Daddy came to see his little guy too and cheer him on!
I couldn't see him from my seat so I had to get closer to find him...oh, there he is laying on the ground trying to army crawl! I didn't know that was part of the song:)
But, he got to top off the big performance with fun at McDonald's and the playplace.  So all in all it was great!!!
Tuck got to enjoy the view from his car seat...the little nap ended just in time for us to pack up and go home:)

Here Fishy Fishy

Tucker enjoying a little fall fun in the grass and leaves

Auntie Alli came for a quick visit!!
Rooting for the Cards in the World Series! Yay baseball:)
Ah, Daddy and Wyatt cleaning up some fishies that Daddy caught...he wasn't quite brave enough to touch it though:)

7 months

What a rock star!!!  Tucker Paul is now 7 months and rocking it:)
*We have an official crawler on our hands...with the occasional army crawl thrown in there for good measure too:)
*He is a movin' and groovin' ALL OVER the place!! He has found a love of dog bowls, brother's toys, and momma's pant legs to go after and put in his mouth:)
*He is a mountain climber!!  He is getting stronger and stronger in his legs and has just found out that with a little bit of effort he can somewhat stand!  He will use anything that he can get his little hands on to help him accomplish this too:)
* Still just working on getting that one tooth in on the bottom
*He is about 18 lbs now and loving to eat his solid foods and still nursing like a good boy!
*I love to hear his sweet giggles!  Whether it is Mommy and Daddy getting him to laugh or Wyatt he is so ready to share his baby giggles with us!
*As in the picture above he has pretty much mastered sitting up...for a short time anyway. He is way to busy to want to sit up for long.

The next 2 pics are of a sweet smelling baby just fresh from a scrub and all smiles:)

Fall -A- Palooza:):)

This is my most favorite time of the year....I especially love when I get to be out and enjoy the fall colors and time with family.  We took a little trip down to St Louis this past weekend and got to enjoy both!

Jonathan decided that it was a great idea to BIKE-as in pedal, pedal, pedal-to St Louis!!!  He left early Friday morning and arrived Saturday afternoon.  I am so amazed at his ability and desire to do this!!  Sitting on a bike that long...ooohhh not my cup of tea:)

We got to hang out with Mom and Dad, Michelle and Dennis and Koby at Suson Park.  They had a great  little animal farm there to walk around and see:) Wyatt especially loved the horses:)

There was lots of time spent fishing in the pond, going down the slides, and carving pumpkins:)

Our last full day there we went to an orchard and got to see lots of cool things like a big parakeet cage where Wyatt got to feed them!

Even some pig races and a big jumping thingy:)

Our last day we took some time for a little geocaching and turtle playing...it was a great weekend!!!

While we were down there we took the plunge and became a mini van family....gotta say I'm already LOVING the ease of getting 2 kids in and out and the space for holding all that accompanies them.  I feel too young to be in this place, but what a joy to call these 3 men mine:)
