First Father's Day!!

I absolutely adore this photo...my two men smiling and oh-so-handsome!! Wyatt is such a blessed little guy to have this guy for a daddy. I love to watch them. There is just something special about a daddy and his son! Jonathan has such an easy time getting the giggles going in Wywy and to hear them pray together just melts my heart! I love seeing him as a daddy! Each new phase that Wyatt goes through is so fleeting and it makes me want to video all day long every little thing. But, the one thing that I know will last is the love of this father and his son. What a beautiful earthly example of this kind of love. To know that God's love for His children is even more....wow, blows my mind. Thank God for His love and blessings each day!

10 months!

10 months and it's go go go go!!!

This post is probably gonna be picture overload, but I couldn't choose so I decided not to:)
Highlights for the little Wy guy this month are:
*5 teeth!!! He went from 3 to 5 in just about 2 weeks
* sitting up on his own...it is so cute to go in and find him sitting up in his crib in the morning with the look "hey momma, I'm a big boy now!"
* he is pulling up on everything! His favorite toy right now seems to be Mommy! No matter how many toys are around crawling and drooling all over Mommy is right where he wants to be:)
*he is also now officially crawling! He has decided to accomplish sitting up, pulling up, and crawling all in a 2 week time period!!!!
*he is really good at doing push ups!

* still doesn't know the word 'no'...this one is starting to be used a lot more often now...Wyatt, no the fireplace is not a place to pull up on; Wyatt, no the dog bowl is not for boys; Wyatt, no the bathroom rug is not for teething on; Wyatt, no the electrical cords are not for teething on either!!
*he's still around 20-21 lbs but eating like a champ! We are so amazed at how much he can pack away
(This pic he has kind of a creepy smile...but he was having lots of fun playing with his cuz Koby)

* Wy went to his first concert! Sanctus Real was in town so we went and rocked out a little too much because he ended up spitting up on me and himself...we had to calm down a little and just enjoy singing along:)
* We went to my parent's house for Memorial Day and enjoyed the pool....
he had his first experience going under the water!

The first time was a little scary, but we kept at it and he didn't seem to mind too much after the first 2 or 3 times
*still refusing to say 'mama' but he does like to talk to himself...it is so cute to hear him in his crib in the mornings talking and squealing, he is quite the story teller!!
*He sure does love his daddy, especially when he gets to snuggle in and hear a story:)

*he gives the cutest cheese ball smiles!! It is even cuter with all his little razor sharp beaver teeth showing:)
* he is such a little ham....this pic says it all:)

Well, we've done it!

The time has come, a time that I really never thought would. But, when you see such a cute little tush in these diapers it is pretty worth it:)

We have officially moved over to cloth diapering!! We are still only in our first week of it, but I can say that so far it has been alright! The little guy doesn't seem to notice any difference and I think we are pretty happy that it is going to allow us to save some $$$:):) I did a lot of research and talking with others who cloth diaper (CD) and when I finally got the guts to do it I went to a local lady here who has a business out of her home. Her site is pinstripesandpolkadots.com...I would highly recommend this site for any and all information you have ever wanted to know concerning CDing. I spent 2 hours talking with her and she showed me sooo many different types of diapering styles. I was so amazed at how things are 'modernized' with CDing! No more hot plastic pants or big honkin safety pins necessary any more...her site is great and she was great. So, here's to a new, greener (save some green and livin' green) way of life:)

Getting Settled

We have been in our new home for about 5 weeks now and it is starting to feel "like home." One of the first rooms that we completed was the family room. It is so nice because thanks to our generous sister and bro-in-law we have new furniture to park it on and room for plenty of guests to park it on too:)

Our kitchen

and dining room

have been the catch all for our projects so far.

The current project is making Wyatt's curtains in his room a little more fun and also adding fabric to make them like a black out curtain, in hopes that when he notices night and day he will sleep longer when morning rolls around:)
The bedrooms haven't had too much to do except get things hung on the walls and finish patching the master bedroom wall. The house is pretty fun because there are so many storage closets and cabinets!

It has been so fun to things put away and throw out those cardboard boxes! It is beginning to feel a lot like 'home'. We have also been pretty busy doing a lot of outside stuff. The house sat vacant for quite a while so there is a lot of overgrowth that we have been working on to cut back and spruce up!

(This pic is just for fun...Wy guy enjoying his first time in his new swing:)
