7 Months!

The 7th month is here and this 17 lb. little guy has decided that it is time to show everyone what he's been working on! It seems that just over night Wyatt has discovered how fun it is to laugh, sing, say da-da all day long, roll over, laugh at the dogs, enjoy rides outside in the stroller, and spin around on his belly to reach everything that he threw in the first place:) Truly, I know that I am so biased but every time I look at this precious little life I am just awed by how amazingly handsome and funny he is! But, I think that is my right as his mommy to think that:) He brings so much joy to our lives!!

We are excited to have our parents and my sister, her husband, and son come up this weekend to spend some time together and be at church with us as we are having a Dedication service for Wyatt. This is just a brief outline of why we have chosen to publicly dedicate Wyatt even though in our hearts we have already made this commitment: publicly declare our faith, commitment and allegiance to Christ as parents and our desire to train our child to follow Christ; to declare that God is the true owner of our child; to dedicate ourselves and our parenting to biblical obedience; to express our heart's desire to give our child to the Lord. This is also a way for accountability--as parents we influence who our children become and even what they will believe. This accountability to our families and our church is a way that we can let them know our desires to raise our child in a biblical and godly family and to come along side us and encourage us in this life long endeavor. "It takes a village to raise a child" is pretty appropriate...and our little village needs to know how we desire to raise him.

On a Roll!!!

Well, it seemed to take him a while, BUT our little guy has finally figured out how to roll from his back to his belly! Now, as excited as we are to state his progress as a growing boy this means that in just one day it has kept him from falling asleep or it has woken him up and made him mad to be on that little belly! It is so exciting to see him progress and learn and become more and more mobile. But, it also means that the sweet easy days of plopping him down and not having to think about if he is getting in the dog bowl or pulling the antenna from the t.v. are soon to be over! It also means that the days of seeing him finally get that toy that he wants, crawling over to be snuggled, or chasing and playing with our dogs is here too! That is the fun stuff:)

Practicing Good Hygiene

Never too early to learn how to brush our teeth, even if there is only one in there!

RV Fun and preparing for SPRING!!!

Jonathan finally had a Saturday off!! So today we definitely made the most of it. We slept in (well, as much as a 7 month old would let us:), we ate waffles and breakfast burritos for breakfast, then off we headed to the RV Show down town. Wow, that about sums up just how amazed we were. Not at the RV's but at the prices that people would pay to go 'camp' in a home on wheels! Some of these things had their own living room with a full couch, big screen t.v., big bathroom and full kitchen!! They were nicer than our house!!!! Maybe we're old fashioned or just extremely frugal or just plain love to 'rough it', but I don't think that would be our #1 choice when we want to get out and enjoy a little of God's creation. But, it was pretty fun going through them and being amazed at what they can put on wheels:) There were also toys for the boys...huge hemi trucks, sports cars,

...and some pretty neat ATV's that Wyatt wanted to test drive

This great weather inspired Jonathan to give the garage its Spring cleaning too. We found Wyatt's hiking pack and now we can't wait to put it to good use!!! He looks so cute just hanging out behind Daddy's head:)
