Are we truly that close to a first birthday for this sweet little face?!? This month has been much more of an improvement from last month:)
Some highlights:
* has 3 teeth!
*starting to sleep through the night. Although, this is not consistent by any means. But, it is definitely an improvement over waking 2 or 3 times a night for the past 10 months!
*he is getting braver by letting go to stand by himself or even getting to a standing position without using help
*still nurses like a champ...however, we are working on weaning him because there a few times that he will be left without Mommy overnight in the next couple of months.
*he loves to growl and blow raspberries:)
*climbed stairs for the first time at Grandma and Grandpa's

Grady ~ 10 months
So, it doesn't seem like there is a lot to report at this 10 month mark of Grady's first year. Well, let me rephrase....not a lot positive to report. He is still a great little man and cruising along in the whole "walking along the furniture" thing, eating and nursing well, being overall a pleasant little man. But, this month has been tough on the little guy in his health:( Battling 2 colds that led to ear infections and also teething have made for a drooly, no-nappy, still getting up every night baby.
So, this picture the sign is so high because he absolutely would NOT leave it alone!! No distraction was keeping him from going for it:) |
So this picture...I just gave in:) |

Grady ~ 9 Months
More news on the Grady Front!!! This kid is standing!!!
Almost all of these amazing things he started to do in just one week!
It has been so fun to watch this month pass and see how quickly Grady moves on to new accomplishments!!
*Began sitting up on his own
*Began pulling up to standing
*Began clapping
*Began waving "bye bye"
*Began saying da-da
*Began ALMOST sleeping through the night (we are still working on this one but an ear infection threw things off and he wanted to get up twice a night instead....Oy!!)
*Getting one little tooth in on the bottom...that brings the grand total to----1:)
*Getting one little tooth in on the bottom...that brings the grand total to----1:)
*We are working on getting him to take a sippy cup...since he won't take a bottle or paci we decided to forgo those and work on the cup instead. He actually won't even take formula from the cup...it has to be coconut milk! Of all things:) But, as happy as I am that he likes to nurse and we don't need to buy formula it would be wonderful to leave him with a sitter or Dad and not think about rushing back to nurse an angry baby.
Almost all of these amazing things he started to do in just one week!
To top off this jam-packed month this little 18 pounder is getting his first tooth! Whew!! This kid is definitely growing up fast:(

*loves to clap!
*had his first ride in a swing and loved it so much he was giggling:)
*he is so very happy! All you have to do is make eye contact and smile at him and he just lights up
*He is still nursing really well....so well in fact that he absolutely refuses bottles, sippy cups, and pacis...

Grady ~ 7 months
Sweet little man...sweet little milestones:)
*Sitting up! At least for a few seconds:)
*He's tried "real" food...like Puffs and pieces of bread - he is not a fan:) I think he will be sticking with the purees a little while longer
*He has learned how to scoot himself around...however, he has NOT learned how to use his arms to help him! It is so funny to watch him get up on his knees and push himself around on his face!
*STILL working on sleeping through the night. Some nights he is up once while others he is up at least 3!
*He is about 17 lbs (14%) and 28 " long (78%)

Grady - 6 months!
A wonderful and sweet half birthday to my little stud muffin!!!
* He has been working on his food groups:) He is up to eating real food twice a day now!
*He is so smiley and happy most of the time. All it takes is for you to look his way and he lights up and grins his big gummy grin
*He loves to watch his big brothers play....any time that they decide to take a few seconds and get down on Grady's level and talk to or read to him Grady just adores it:) If I am trying to get something finished or dinner on the table and Grady is fussy - I just tell Wyatt or Tuck to go talk to/sing to him...that makes everything better:)
*went to the pool for the first time and loved it!! He didn't even seem to mind when his brothers splashed him the face!
* I think that he is getting closer to sitting up....we will see what one more month does:)

Grady - 4 months!
*Hello to the world of sweet baby talk!!
*Sleep training - Mommy and Daddy were getting so very tired of still getting up 3-4 times a night still...we are now down to about once a night!
*He has moved out of our room into the nice roomy crib:)
*Oh the steal-your-heart smiles this little boy gives us!
*He is trying his best to roll over but just can't get over that shoulder:)
*Moves in circles on his playmat...maybe looking for the best view?
*27 1/5 inches and about 14 lbs!
*Fingers are almost always in his mouth - since he won't take a paci I guess that is the next best thing:)

Grady - 3 Months!
3 months and a smile to boot!! Sweet little Grady is celebrating his 3rd month on a wonderful Easter Sunday:)
Highlights this past month:
*Smiling!!! He is so eager and willing to grace us with this sweet little grin
*Still up 2-3 (sometimes 4) times a night...I think we just might have to work on some sleep training:)
*His disposition is much improved from the first couple of months...we used to say he was our angry child. Now, he is in his groove and loving life so I think he is much more content with his lot in life:)
*No longer takes a bottle...this is something that is hard to accept if Mommy would like a little time away!
*His clogged tear duct officially cleared up just in time for the real tears to start flowing!
*He is a hand sucker! If he can find his fist/fingers he just goes to town.
*We are soooo in love with this wee little gift from our Savior!

Grady - 2 Months!
Our little man is growing, growing, growing! He has moved out of 0-3 month clothes already and is making good use of the 3-6 month stuff and he is getting so heavy! Some sweet highlights this month...
*Smiling!!!! Oh, the sweet gummy smiles of an infant can melt this momma's heart in a second:)
*Starting to coo and "talk" to us a little bit:)
*Nursing like a champ...maybe we should introduce the bottle though for those times when Mom needs a night out:)
*Still not very consistent in his sleep at night...up either twice a night or every 2 hours - every night is a mystery!
*he's a once a week pooper...which means the couple of days before he goes he can clear a room with his smelliness!!
* Daddy said he should wear a sign "Only sleeps when held"...its true:)
* had his 2 month check up and this guy is LONG!!! The doctor said he is the size of an average 3 1/2 month old!:) He's 24.5 inches long (94%) and 11 lbs (14%). We keep them long and lean in the Walberg home:)

Grady - One Month
Has it truly been one month that this sweet little man has been a part of our lives already!! It seriously feels like last week we were bringing him home and introducing him to his brothers! All those people who say that we need to treasure every moment because we blink and it's gone - I finally believe them!!
Some sweet highlights of Grady's first month:
*Weighing in at 8 lbs 10 oz
*Only gets up one or two times a night ( a mother's delight:)
*Great nurser - finally:)
*Enjoys being held...all the time:)
*A great big paci lover
*After waiting 4 weeks...the belly button finally fell off!!!
The adjustment from 2 to 3 has sometimes been a struggle, especially since they are all so close in age. However, the joy of knowing that my 3 sons will have each other to be with, play with, grow with and enjoy life with make it ALL worth it! God has gifted us with these 3 lives and we have a big heavy task ahead to raise them to know and love the Lord. With His strength and guidance it can happen! The joy of the Lord is our strength!!!!!
